Caring for Cattia 5K & Fun Run

On July 10, 100 runners and 100 walkers participated in the Caring for Cattia event. Elizabeth Feeney coordinated the event to raise funds for Cat Longoria's family, whose daughter Cattia has aplastic anemia. Her medical bills have been costly and this event, among others, is to raise funds for the family. Her mother, Cat, is a past NNL President, 3 term Sanddollar Editor, Advisor, etc. KIII TV reported on Facebook, "On behalf of the Longoria Family & Cattia, thanks for supporting the Caring for Cattia Walk @ Cole Park. Lots of people from all walks of life showed up and walked or ran. Volunteers were also there making sure the event went off without a hitch. Richard [KIII News Director and Cat's husband] spoke saying how inspired he was to see the crowd and how Cattia is touched by how the community has rallied behind her. Thank you :}"
